Preschool themes! What is that? It is the latest and greatest activity, curriculum, lesson plans you can find on the Internet. You can basically change your curriculum according to your child's interest. Cool hey! No boring textbooks anymore. Just a fun way of learning without knowing. You can basically start with the season you are in. Say for and example Spring. This way you can ensure that your child gets lots of outdoor fun and activities. You can discuss birds, water, clouds, trees etc. Go to the library, get preschool books and start identifying all the things in God's glorious creation.Ifthey feel bored with Spring then change it to bugs. If you have boys, do not fear, as they normally want to do bugs that's what little boys are made of! Of course, if it is a girl you can still do bugs, but in a feminine way - looking and discovering butterflies. Whatever they drive you to! And don't be concerned - you will find it on the Internet. (Everything ladybug is just an example of the fun stuff you can find.) There are so many different preschool themes available, even abstract one's such as balls. Would you believe that they actually have atheme with this one? You won't believe what you can do with these wonderful shaped spheres. A zoo theme can go on for weeks, even months. Be ready if you choose this one, as your kids might not want to do anything else. Kids love animals and in the zoo are many to choose from. They will not just accept one. So be warned. What I've also found is that preschool homeschoolers scrapbook their kids work over the year of doing themes. It is a nice way of keeping record of all the themes you've done with them. Then you also havepreschool themes that are a total preschool curriculum package. Everything is integrated. If you want to take Dinosaurs as the theme, then all the subjects will be around that animal. Math will have pictures of dinosaurs. Science will discuss it historically. You will probably need to buy some of those books that includes fake bones. Language art/reading will start with the letter D. Etc. I'm sure you understand where I'm going with this.
