Our preschool craft ideas are for everyone,especially preschoolers, who would like to make something out of nothing.

We've researched this topic and found that most of the crafts available are to difficult for preschoolers, especially for the ages between 2 - 5. The crafts that you will find on this page are all easy and will be a masterpiece to your kids, something that they can be proud of. We also have bible crafts that both you and your kids will enjoy.

Just a small  tip before you dive into all the craft activities. 

  • Find a big box or container where you can store all the different kinds of material. Shoeboxes within a big box works best as you will be able to divide the crayons, cardboard, paintbrushes etc. It will make the task easier for you and will not let the little one's wait too long and get bored.

Basic things you will need for your box. 

  • White and colored paper
  • White and colored cardboard
  • Tissue paper
  • Different kinds of paper you can find that is interesting
  • Foil
  • Polifilla
  • Glue
  • Crayons
  • Felt pens
  • Powder Paint
  • Clay
  • Old T-Shirts
  • White candles
  • Straws
  • Paper plates
  • Ice-cream sticks
  • Rubbers
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Plastic bottles
  • Buttons
  • Wool/rope
  • Cardboard boxes of various sizes
  • Magazines with pictures
  • Old socks

The first preschool craft ideas we have are all animal related. I'm sure that your kids will be able to follow your instructions as you read it to them.

A good idea is to let them collect all the material needed for this craft. It will teach them basic skills that they can also use when the kids start cooking.

Busy Bee

Material needed

  • 3 Egg holders
  • 1/2 Pipe cleaner (preferable black)
  • Cardboard, preferable yellow
  • Thick paint (yellow and black) and paintbrush
  • Black felt pen
  • Scissors

How to

  • Paint the eggholders yellow with one black stripe over each.
  • Push the pipecleaner through the front.
  • Cut out two wings out of the cardboard.
  • Staple the wings to the second egg holder.
  • Draw the face


Silly Spider

Material needed

  • Empty match box
  • 4 Pipe cleaners (preferable black)
  • Paint (brown)
  • 2 Sticker circles
  • Paintbrushes

How to

  • Paint the matchbox brown
  • Bend the pipe cleaners to form the legs and push it through the top of the matchbox.
  • Stick the eyes on and draw the mouth


Tiny Mouse

Material needed

  • 2 Egg holders
  • Cardboard
  • Straw
  • Rope, 10cm long
  • Thick paint
  • Black felt pen
  • Scissors

How to

  • Cut out 2 teardrop forms out of cardboard for the ears.
  • Paint the egg holder and make little slits to put the ears in. (children will need help here).
  • Make small slits for the straw whiskers.
  • Make a little hole at the back and push the rope with knot on one side through.
  • Paint the face.


Chickie the Chicken

Material needed

  • 2 Cotton balls (yellow)
  • Piece of black cardboard
  • Glue
  • Scissors

How to

  • Roll 2 pieces of cotton. One bigger as the other one.
  • Glue them together.
  • Cut out the feet and face out of black cardboard and glue on the ball.
